Wren's Community Shop is a community run store, working on a purely volunteer basis
Wren’s is a community shop registered under the Industrial & Provident Societies Act 1965, (superseded by the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014).
Shares in, and membership of, the Association are open to all present and past residents of the Parish of East Knoyle, any individuals who represent the interests of the Parish of East Knoyle and any corporate bodies or representative of unincorporated bodies whose base or regular meeting place is in the Parish of East Knoyle.
Shares can be purchased for £5 with a subsequent subscription cost of £5 payable annually. Members can only hold one share in the Association. Subscription payments are due from the beginning of each financial year, which runs from 1 April to 31 March, and are collected by Sara, the Membership Secretary.
Membership entitles you to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Association and to stand for election to the Management Committee. Minutes of the meetings of all proceedings of the Association, the Management Committee and any sub-committee are also open to all members for inspection at any reasonable time.
